The
Bob Paden Memorial Fund (BPMF) is a not-for-profit organization,
based in Rockland County, New York, and registered with the State
of New York.
The
BPMF was created in memory of Robert Paden, a life-long and dedicated
member of the Boy Scouts of America. In August 1999, after participating
in a 5-K road race to benefit cancer research, Bob Paden, a beloved
husband, father, friend and scouter died. Bob was only 37 years
old.
The
BPMF was organized by a group of Bob's friends. United in our
desire to create a living memorial to honor this extraordinary
man, it is our goal to build a cabin on the grounds of Camp Bullowa
in Stony Point, New York. Camp Bullowa serves youth throughout
the Hudson Valley Region, and is the primary camp utilized by
Boy Scouts in Rockland and Orange Counties.
Our
goal is a lofty, but attainable, and truly befits a man who dedicated
his life to serving his community.
Please
continue through our site to learn more about Bob, our organization
and view our progress in fund raising and construction.
